Elizabetb Ward, age 87, diced Monday, October 5, 2009 at Vitas Hospice at North Shore Medical Center in Miami, Florida. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with pastor Butch Dupree officiating. Interment followed in Rozier Cemetery. Mrs. Ward attended school in the Dodge County School System. At an early age she joined Mt. Cilia Baptist Church and later became a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and served as Church Mother. She was a member of Heroines of Jericho, Silver Star Court #628 for 30 years. Mrs. Ward was employed at Harrell Canning Plant and later worked on the farm with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Patrick and Arthur Patrick; and her husband, Albert Ward. Survivors include two children; grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Rollins Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
