Roosevelt Holton, Sr., age 76, died Sunday, August 9, 2009. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Chauncey with Rev. Milton Hughes officiating. Interment followed in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Holton was employed with Jamieson & Co. for several years until his health failed. After moving to Eastman, he joined Ebenezer Baptist Church where he held his membership until death. Survivors include his wife; three children; his mother; two sisters; aunt and uncles; two grandchildren that were raised as his very own and affectionately nsmed him "Belt"; niece; two sisters-in-taw; his extended family, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. special friend and caretaker and Crescent Ridge Nursing Home. Servingg as pallbearers were the Shine Boys of Eastmsn. Serving as honorary pallbearers were the X-tremne Riders of McRae. ? provided sacred music for the funeral service. Rollins Funesral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
