Obituary
Arthur Thomas Jr., age 87 of Eastman, died Thursday, December 25, 2008. Funeral services 'ere held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Shorter's Chapel A. M. E. Church in Eastman with Rev. Albert Campbell and Bishop David Muntford officiating, followed by interment in the Eastman Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas was the owner and operator of Thomas Laundromat, and was inducted into the U. SI Navy in 1944 and served in War World II. Mr. Thomas was united with Shorter's Chapel A. M. E. in, 1941. He is proceeded in death by his parents, the late Arthur and Rosa E, Thomas.
Survivors include his wife; one sister: two nieces; three nephews. Seven grandchildren also survive.
