MRS. GLORIA ETHEL HAYES SINGLETARY, age 62, of Lyons, GA, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathaniel Joyce officiating. Gloria was born in Eastman, GA, in 1961 and was of the Christian faith. She was raised in Chauncey, GA, and attended Dodge County High School. She was a certified nurses assistant and worked for over 30 years at Middle Georgia Nursing Home, McRae Manor, and Southern Choices Home Health in Vidalia. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved dancing, crossword puzzles, and watching Gunsmoke on TV. She especially loved her grandchildren – they were her world. She was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was the daughter of Emogene Burnam Hayes and Jimmy Hayes and preceded in death by her Infant Son, Montel Gonzales, 3 Brothers, Teal Hayes, Bob Hayes, and Bill Hayes, Nephew, Hank Williams, 2 Aunts, Elise Hayes Upshaw and Annette Wright, and Uncle, Robert “Gabby” Hayes. She is survived by her Companion of over 25 years – Noe Gonzales; Son Travis Singletary (Katie) of Lyons; Step-Daughter – Lucy McGhaee of Lyons; 4 Grandchildren – Remi Singletary, Sofia Singletary, Kai Stuckey, and Kira Stuckey; Sister – Terri “Red” Hayes; of Eastman; Great Uncle – Wright Burnam of Macon; Aunt – Jennifer Hayes Wright of Eastman; Uncle – Lenard Upshaw of Eastman; 6 Nephews and Nieces – Brian Hayes (Tammy), April Hayes, Brady Patterson, Bradley Hayes, B.J. Hayes, and Courtney Hayes; Numerous Cousins including – Bert Hayes, Paul Hayes (Connie), Sharna Dorris, Angie Muncher (George), Shannon Dukes (Melinda), Tina Clements (Lonnie), and Joey Jones; and Great Nieces and Nephews – Brogan Redd (Makayla), Amberlyn Moore, Natalie Hayes, Krash Brophy, and Miley Moore. The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:30AM-11:00AM before services and may be contacted at the residence of Travis and Katie Singletary, 153 Emmanuel Circle, Lyons, GA, 30436, and the residence of Jennifer Wright, 63 William Way Eastman, GA, 31023.
