Albany- Franklin Grady “Little Frankie” Herring, II, 55, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Coliseum Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Burpee-Scott Chapel with Interment following in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastman. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The family request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Elko Baptist Church, Elko, GA 31025 or to Gillionville Baptist Church, 4614 Gillionville Rd, Albany, GA 31721. Frankie was born on June 3, 1962 at Toul-Rosieres Air Base in France to the late Franklin Grady Herring, Sr. and Jacqueline Holcomb Richardson (Owen) of Clinton, TN. Frankie was a 1981 graduate of Warner Robins High School and was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church but was most recently attending Gillionville Baptist Church in Albany, GA. Frankie worked as a carpenter since he was 16 years old, loved working with his hands and being outdoors, specifically, hunting, fishing and boating. Frankie was a proud member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited. Along with his Warner Robins Demons, the Atlanta Falcons were his team. Frankie’s proudest accomplishment was being dad to “Baby Frankie” and Heather. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife: son; sister; brother; nephews.
