MR. BARNEY SCOTT SHEFFIELD, age 47, of Chauncey, GA, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Dodge County Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, January 10, at the residence of Mrs. Gloria Jean Sheffield. Barney was born in McRae on January 10, 1972, he was of the Baptist faith, and a truck driver for Montgomery Logging. He was a graduate of Alliance Trucking School, a former employee of Gilman Paper Company, and worked as an over the road trucker for over 20 years. He enjoyed working as a mechanic and tinkering, playing guitar, camping, fishing, trips to the river, writing stories, and most of all spending time with friends and family. Barney was preceded in death by his Father, Andrew Ray Sheffield. Survivors: Mother; 2 Sisters; Brother; Niece; 5 Nephews; 2 Great-Nephews; Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in the memory of Barney to the charity of the donor’s choice.
