Mr. Glenn Horton, age 71, of Chester, Georgia went to be with the Lord Friday, September 10, 2021 from the Dodge County Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Horton Family Cemetery, 201 Lister Cemetery Rd. with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Visitation will from 2 til 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Horton was born February 12, 1950 in Telfair County to the late Neva Edge Horton and Marvin Horton. After working construction for seventeen years throughout the State of Georgia, Glenn started a career with The Georgia Department of Corrections, where he moved rank to Deputy Warden upon his retirement with the Department of Corrections. He then joined the Georgia Department of Pardons and Parole as a Parole Auditor til his complete retirement in 2002. Glenn was very passionate about farming and taking care of his grandkids. He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years; children; grandchildren; Great Grandchildren; brother, sisters; mother-in-law; brother-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Betty Durden.
