Susie Hinson Smallwood went home to her Lord on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Andrew United Methodist Church, 2430 Hwy 127 in Kathleen, with Pastor Jim W. Dominey officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Rooks Funeral Home, 213 West Church Street in Fort Valley. Born in Cochran on September 14, 1936, Susie was the daughter of the late John Henry Hinson and Willie Bell Roland Hinson. She was a homemaker and member of Andrew United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fifty years of marriage to her late husband, Paul E. Smallwood Jr. Her parents, husband , and son, Michael David Smallwood, welcomed her to her heavenly home. Susie is survived by her children; grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andrew United Methodist Church, 2430 Hwy 127, Kathleen, GA 31047, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
