GERALD DWAYNE SPIRES, age 51, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, August 18, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Roswell Chapman officiating. Gerald was a native of McRae, of the Baptist Faith, a 1985 graduate of Telfair County High School, and owner and operator of S & S Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who he loved dearly, was a dedicated husband, father, and Paw Paw, and loved hunting, fishing, the river, camping, and trips to the beach. He was son of the late Joyce Burnam Spires and Wayne Gerald Spires and was preceded in death by a Sister, Angie S. Owens and Brother, Lee Spires. Survivors: Wife of 19 years; 2 Daughters; 2 Sons; 2 Grandsons; Mother-in-Law; Father-in-Law; Brother-in-Law; Maternal Grandmother; Niece and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
