Obituary
Geraldine D. Yawn, age 82, of Eastman, died Tuesday. May 19, 2009 in the Hear of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Michael Pollard officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hope Cemetery in Chauncey.
Mrs. Yawn, a native of Lakeland, Florida, had lived in Dodge County for the past 66 years. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church. the Hope Sunday School Class. and a charter member of the Dodge County Hospital Pink Ladies. She was preceded in death by her parents. Willie Shivers Darsey and James H. Darsey: her husband. Clifford M. Yawn; her son, CHifford Randy Yawn; and a great granddaughter. Sailor Kate Lee.
Survivors include her daughter; daughter-in-law: five grandchildren: and 10 great grandchildren.
