Wm. L. Harrell, son of Asa Hharrell, of Eastman, Ga., was born april 13th, 1852, and was drowned March 10th, 1876. Mr. Harrell was well known to most of the citizens of this place here he had resided for several years. He was usually of a quiet deportment, and is represented by those who knew him best as being a firm and steadfast friend. His sudden death was a terrible blow to his family and friendsm and we are painfully reminded that "in the midst of life, we are in death." It is a sad warning to those who are left behind for it is indeed true that an hour when we know not - when we least expect it -when in the enjoyment of buoyant life and spirits - when just entering upon life, it may be with bright and flattering prospects ahea, the dread summons comes and those who are ones friends and associates, in the twinkling of an eye, are called hence. We mourn for the departed and sympathize with those who are thus bereaved by the death of a son, brother and friend.
