Raleigh S. Brewer, age 71, of Eastman, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 5n the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Antioch #1 Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Parker officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mr. Brewer was born in Telfair County, was a member of Antioch #1 Baptist Church, a former law enforcement officer and a retired farmer. He was a member of Helena Masonic Lodge and a Veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Williams Brewer and Seward Brewer. Survivors include his wife; stepdaughter; step-son; 'seven grandchildren; Seven great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; and five sisters. Serving as pallbearers were ... ? was musician for the funeral service. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
