MR. HAROLD RUTHERFORD, SR., age 85, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating. Harold was born in Laurens County, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and a 1955 graduate of Eastman High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He played basketball during his days at Chester High School before finishing his final year at Eastman High School and played semi-pro baseball for the Eastman Weavers. Harold was a retired expeditor for Robins AFB for 35 years. He was a dedicated husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed coon hunting, baseball, horses, watching his grandchildren play ball, and working and spending his days at Granny Hazel’s Florist with his wife Linda. Harold was son of the late Gladys Mullis Rutherford-Brown and John F. Rutherford and was preceded in death by a Sister, Wanda Nell Wright and Brother, Billy Rutherford. He is survived by his Wife of 59 years; Daughter; 2 Sons; 4 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the Rutherford residence.
