Wilton D. Harrington, age 83, of Eastman died Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Funeral services were Friday, July 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Eastman Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles E. Cox and Rev. Wayne McDaniel officiating. Interment followed in Orphans Cemetery. Mr. Harrington was an Elder Emeritus of Eastman First Presbyterian Church. He was past president of State Bar of Georgia and Oconee Bar Association, a member of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, past president of the Eastman Rotary Club, a member of the Board of Visitors of UGA Law School, a 1988 recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Vocational Achievement Award, a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II, and an avid hunter and fishennan. Survivors include his wife; daughter; sons; 10 grandchildren, Wil Harrington; and one great-grandchild. Serving as pallbearers were .... ? were the musicians for the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Eastman Presbyterian Church. Hardy-Towns Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
