MR. ROGER LINWOOD “GOOSE” TATEM, age 66, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Tatem was born in Chesapeake, VA and was a graduate of Oscar Smith High School where he was a student athlete and played varsity football. He later worked for over 20 years as a maintenance technician at Oscar Smith High School. He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. For many years he played tournament softball and was an avid bowler in the local bowling leagues. He prided himself as the master bowling teacher, teaching his daughters how to bowl. He resided in Virginia until moving to Georgia in 2012 to be near his family. He was a loving father and grandfather. Roger was the son of the late Roger Thomas Tatem and Lottie Tatem and was preceded in death by a Grandson, Lukas Dex Hess. He is survived by his 4 Daughters; 12 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to The Children’s Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201.
