Obituary
-HELENA - Mrs. Effie Lee Dykes Purvis, age 68, of Helena, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2002. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Melton and the Rev. Mike Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
-Mrs. Purvis was a native of Telfair County and the daughter of the late Charlie Dykes. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and a retired Bookkeeper from F.R.P. Company in Helena.
-Survivors include her husband; daughters; son; mother; sister; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
-The family will receive friends Monday evening, December 23, 2002 from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. at the funeral home. -Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena has charge of arrangements.
