MRS. RUTH SHEFFIELD DENNIS, age 90, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, November 16, at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Mrs. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Plainfield Baptist Church, and a graduate of Chauncey High School. She was an LPN and worked many years with the Dodge County Hospital and worked with several of the Medical Doctors including Dr. Frank Holder, Dr. Mac Johnson, and Dr. Hal Conner. Ruth loved reading, puzzles, fishing, and being outside with her family and friends. She was the daughter of the late John Quience Sheffield and Mary Caroline Farmer Sheffield and was preceded in death by her Husband of 65 years, Curtis William Dennis, 3 Sisters, Elizabeth Sheffield, Ruby Burch, and Willene Cobb and 7 Brothers, Albert Sheffield, J.S. “Shippy” Sheffield, Needham Sheffield, Clarence Sheffield, Razz Sheffield, Robert Sheffield, and Wilmer Sheffield. She is survived by her Daughter; 2 Sons; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; 6 Sisters-in-law; Brother-in-law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
