MRS. GERALDINE SPINKS McCRANIE, age 83, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 13, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Bobby Ryals and Mr. Gary Ryals officiating, with interment in Fair Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. Geraldine was born in Rhine, GA, a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church, was a cheerleader and basketball player for Rhine Elementary, and a graduate of Dodge County High School, where she excelled at basketball. She later received her teaching certificate from the State of Georgia in the 1960s and worked as a paraprofessional for over thirty years for the Dodge County Board of Education. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and canning. Geraldine was the daughter of the late Birder Hardeman Spinks and Harvey Spinks and was preceded in death by her Husband, Jack McCranie, Sisters, Rachel S. Clements and Betty Jean S. Harrell, and Brother, Rayford Spinks. She is survived by her 2 Daughters, GA; 2 Sons; 4 Grandchildren; Sister; 8 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
