MRS. LOLA JACQUELINE “JACKIE” PARKERSON CADWELL, age 90, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Autumn Leaves in Stockbridge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, August 28, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Dwaine Dunn and Rev. Royce McClelland officiating, with interment in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cadwell was born in Plainfield in Dodge County and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Eastman High School and a retired legal secretary for Stuckey’s, Inc. and Congressman Bill Stuckey, working over 40 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending her plants and flowers, and spent many enjoyable hours watching the birds visit her bird feeder. Jackie is widow of the late D.L. Cadwell and is preceded in death by her parents, Cora Lee Colson Parkerson and Billy Herman Parkerson, daughter, Cynthia Rae “Cindy” Lee, sister, Doris Joiner, brother, Marvin Earl Parkerson and an infant brother. Survivors: 1 Daughter – Leeanne Sumner (Jody) of McDonough; 5 Grandchildren – Mandy Lee Thompson (Bert) of Milton, David Lee (Jennifer) of Eastman, Chuck Sumner (Monika) of Hattiesburg, MS, Bill Sumner (Katie) of McDonough, and Joanna Whitlow (Jason) of Madison; 11 Great Grandchildren – Clint Lee, Colby Lee, Clay Lee, Nathan Thompson, Brice Thompson, Sonia Sumner, Clay Sumner, Charlie Sumner, Cooper Sumner, Jack Whitlow, and Eli Whitlow; 1 Sister-in-law – Betty Skipper of Douglas; 2 Nieces – Marlyn Locke and Patti Cauley (Jake); 1 Nephew – Ronnie Joiner. The family may be contacted at the residence of David and Jennifer Lee, 2730 Antioch Church Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Poplar Springs Baptist Church from 1:00PM – 2:00PM Wednesday, August 28.
