MRS. DALE KNIGHT GILBERT, age 63, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, March 1 at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwaine Dunn and Dr. Al Daniel officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Gilbert was born in Eastman and a was member of Greenlawn Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very close and loving sister to Brenda, who was a caretaker to her during her sick times. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling and enjoyed being outdoors. Dale loved her family and cared for them dearly, including her feline companions, Runt, Gracie and Zoey. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Ray Dunn and a nephew, Kaylin Smith. Survivors: Husband; 1 Daughter; 1 Son; 2 Step-Sons; Mother; Father; Sister; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the Gilbert residence, Eastman and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Thursday, February 28.
