Obituary

MRS. MARGARET JENELLE BACON HARRELL, age 76, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, February 25, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, February 27, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Grenade and Dr. Donnie Sutton officiating, with interment in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Al Acosta officiating. Mrs. Harrell was born in Chester, a graduate of Chester High School, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper for Citizens Bank and Trust, a former WUFF Radio receptionist and secretary, and a gospel musician and singer for her family group, The Harrell Family. She enjoyed sewing and sewed children’s clothes for foreign missions. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jenelle was daughter of the late Vida Dykes Bacon and Walter B. Bacon, widow of Jack Harrell, and was preceded in death by a son, Don Harrell and a sister, Johnnie Fay Bacon Spires. Survivors: Son – Mike Harrell (Lisa) of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Mindy Harrell, Maci Harrell and Misty Harrell; Sister – Bonnie Sue Conner of Eastman; 3 Brothers – Bill Bacon (Lynn) of Dexter, Edward Bacon of Chauncey and Frank Bacon (Charlotte) of Montrose; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the Harrell residence, 1026 Airport Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, February 26.
